I saw a charge for $10, according to Zappos for a gift card. I had not shopped at Zappos, and fortunately, their system flagged it as suspicious, so the charges were reversed. However, this means that somebody has my debit card number and expiration. I canceled my card and am being issued a new one. No idea yet how it was compromised. It could be associated with any number of online payments that I make using my card. I had been down in Mexico the week before, but did not actually use my debit card down there--only my credit card.

Company trying to scam me out of $10 on my business account debit card. I called the company and they said they had denied the charge by somebody wanting to get a $10 gift card. Asked her if that's so why is it showing as pending on my checking account & she said because my credit card company accepted it. Just Double Talk - She said it should not be drafted from my account. Now thieves are going after commercial businesses think that their little $10 charge will not be noticed because of many other business charges. Dirt Bags !!

On November 11, I noticed my credit card had a pending charge of $10.00 from something purchased at Zappos. They were very nice when I called and told me they had already caught the fraudulent charge and it wouldn't be put through. The next day, on another card, I had a $10.00 charge at Zappos, as well as $50.00 at Starbucks. Again, the companies took care of it. I also took extreme measures by cancelling all my cards, contacting all 3 credit reporting agencies and putting fraud alert on my accounts, contacting the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, DC, and filing a police report. I was informed by All Clear ID, that I was a victim of the recent Home Depot breach. They set up free credit monitoring for me for a year. Just a note that I have never shopped at Amazon.

11/5/14: We found this same exact charge pending on our account this morning (PLUS two $45 Starbucks charges and I don't drink coffee or buy their stuff). The bank says it was charged off my card so they are replacing my card. Fun stuff. Dirty thieves piss me off.

We are a Florida corporation. We check our bank daily to make sure no erroneous errors are on our checking account. We have never visited Zappos.com. Today a charge for $10.00 showed up on our checking account. We have contacted our bank and are disputing this charge. As I researched this company on the internet, it is apparent that this company is doing this to alot of people. Now they have started on commercial businesses. This is an outright attempt of theft! got a $10 charge on my debt card yesterday and another one today. Called Zappos & got a rude, no help at all. She refused to do anything unless I gave her my card number. I have NEVER shopped there, actually never heard of them until this happened. Would like to know how they got my card number & expiration date. Called my bank & got card cancelled. Had to get new card from bank

This is an ongoing thing apparently. Today I noticed a charge for $10.00 on my account to zappos. Luckily my bank immediately flagged it as fraud. I called zappos and they were very polite and helpful and will be refunding the $10.00 and gave me a ticket number along with their direct line phone number. There certainly is a leak somewhere and there are a lot of fingers pointing at amazon in this thread.

They got me for ten bucks also. called the number and they were very helpful in cancelling the charge.1-877-927-2328 is the direct number to the department that will help with this.

I have had 3 charges in 2 weeks with two different cards. Two weeks ago two charges for $10 were placed on my card a day apart. Called Zappos, they were very nice and put the money right back in my account and I called and canceled my card. Now today I found another charge to Zappos on another of my debit cards. Called Zappos, this time she told me that they never actually charged my account though I told her it's showing up as processing on my statement. Called the bank and they said in addition to the Zapppos charge, there was another charge to Jockeys for the same amount, but that one had been flagged as suspicious. But the big news, apparently Zappos is owned by Amazon. I order from Amazon ALL the time, and they have both of those debit card numbers stored through my account. My bet is Amazon has a leak....I'm taking all of my cards off their site ASAP.

This happened to me in July. A $10 charge for ZAP*ZAPPOS.COM Bank issued new card and number. Now it has happened again in September.

I just call the bank and they are sending me a new card. So weird i have never shop at zappos or online with this card. I called Zappos and since I'm not giving them my card info they looked me up with my name and phone number and nothing. SCARY.

Zappos is owned by Amazon. Amazon also owns 6pm.com. I'm guessing that the number came from Amazon some how. I received a $10 charge from Zappos too. I called their customer service and the first person I talked to said it was a glitch in their system and they are aware of it. He then transferred me to another department to get a $10 reversal. The person in that next department said the first person mispoke and he has no idea about a $10 charge, since he did not show one. A little fishy! The card they charged was a card I always use at Amazon. A little fishy! Someone is lying.

I just checked our account online and there were 2 charges we didn't make. One was for $10 from Zappos and the other a $10 charge from Steampower. We have never heard of either of these places. Our bank won't do anything until we sign a dispute paper. Then it will be investigated. Zappos told me their computer caught it and the person is in New York. There's no number to call to Steampower. That's very suspicious. Now we have a long ordeal to go through. I was told whoever is doing this tried to make at least 15 purchases on our accountl

I was just charge on 6/16 for $10 from Zappos. I called my bank, got my card cancelled, and got a new card. Thanks for being lame Zappos! I never have ordered from them either.

We have a pending charge for ZAP*ZAPPOS.COM for $10 that showed up on our credit card statement on 5/29/14. It is a fraudulent charge. Called the credit card company. Cancelling the card and getting a new one.

I saw the suspicious $10 Zappos.com charge on my debit card over the Memorial Day weekend. I called Zappos today and was told that the charge had already been flagged as fradulent. Just on a whim I checked my credit card from the same bank and it had TWO $10 Zappos.com charges. Just to be safe, I have checked my other cards.

I was also charged a $10 charge from zap*zappos.com. Never use the site. I hear they charge small amounts to test the account and once it goes through they go crazy and empty your account. What an inconvenience...had to cancel my card and order a new one.

Noticed an unauthorized charge on my statement of $11.37 from Zap*Zappos. I contacted my bank and my card was immediately canceled. These hackers should have a "G.O.T." type punishment and have their fingers removed...
