This company refused to refund a lane ticket when it had to be cancelled because of a subpoena by the US District court in New York. The claimed it wasn't a valid reason. A lousy 500 bucks down the drain and quite rude customer care. Do not use this company for travel insurance as they will find any way out from paying a claim they know you will not sue them because the amount is too small. This is how they make their money of course. And yep they wouldn't refund the lousy 40 bucks for the premium either. Spread the word around the internet and soon millions will know NOT to choose accessamerica.com Funny that their consumer advocate also refuses to give his name, almost like they know they are about to get in hot water. Also just a po box and an 800#. Oh wait I got it. 2805 N. Parham Rd. Richmond VA 23294

I purchased tickets for a flight home on leave following my yearlong deployment through Orbitz.com . I was given block leave dates that I may take leave between; knowing that in the Army leave often changes abruptly, I purchased the additional insurance for 33 dollars, that would cover Trip Cancellation up to $620 (nearly the amount of my flight tickets). In accordance with Murphy's Law, my leave dates changed and I was forced to cancel and buy new tickets. I did so and filed a claim through Access America (the insurance company that Orbitz.com uses and the one I purchased it through). The website claims that a response will be given 1-2 days after the claim is filed. I waited 3 days and filed again. I waited 3 more days then wrote the company directly. I have since been waiting for a reply (4 days passed). This issue has caused hardship with my checking account which went into negatives; my bank however understood the circumstances and removed all surcharges for overdraft, however I still have not received my refund and as per the policy I am entitled to one. It is completely irresponsible and neglectful to its customers to not even write them back or reply to a claim. I am taking this matters very seriously and will take any and all appropriate steps to conclude this matter, including legal action if necessary. Access America P.O. I reserved a rental car through hotwire.com and agreed to the coverage for the car at $9 per day. It just shows as a separate charge to your account under Allianz
