Just had a $100 fraudulent charge that posted to my credit card account on August 5, 2013. It was a Starbucks Card Reload 800-782-7282 WA. Never been to Starbucks and don't own any Starbucks card. I immediately called and reported the fraudulent charge. They closed the account and are sending me a new card. And for the person that posted a few posts up, my credit card in question was registered with Amazon.com so that might be a connection to the origins of this fraud.

I tried reloading my starbucks card and an error message occurred. I then checked my bank account info and it charged the amount that was supposed to be on the card. So I was charged the money but it doesn't show up that I have any money on my starbucks account. Anyone know how to fix this problem or will it take a couple days for the money to show up on my card?

To fix the problem, call, Toll-Free, 1-800-STARBUC (1-800-782-7282) ; from a Touch-tone phone, and follow the prompts given (Card Information---then follow the prompt to ask to speak to a Customer Service Representative). However, I would suggest waiting a couple of days to see if the balance appears. If the balance STILL does not appear, then I would suggest calling the Starbucks number provided above and speaking with a representative. In the future, you might consider reloading your Starbucks card at a Starbucks retail store location itself. You are provided with a receipt.

On 7/31/13, my bank care was charged a total of $560 identified as STARBUCKS RELOAD 800-782. This seems like a common scam

I was charged the same $100 to my Visa for a STARBUCKS card. My bank was great about clearing the charges, but I'm worried where this is coming from.

I bought some things from Amazon.com a few days ago but I don't know if that's where they got my information.

$2,500 in fraudulent charges to my Chase Visa card between 6/20/2013-6/23/2013. $100 Reloads at a time multiple times a day! Chase took our account offline immediately and is currently under investigation. We expect Chase will not hold us accountable for the fraudulent charges.

$100 charged to my card this morning from this same "starbucks card reload" -- the money is going somewhere, you would think it would be easy to figure that out. But hey, now its just a pain in the a$$ for the person they did it to.

$400 in fraudulent charges. Bank is looking into it, but the fact that someone can get away with this is ridiculous.
