I forgot to skip the month and have contacted Shoemint at least 3 times and they still have not refunded my money. I've asked that they cancel my account, which they did, but in my initial contact with them, they did not extend the offer to refund the charge. I found this out later via their FAQ on their Support page. Apparently they have to get approval from someone to do it and it's taking quite a long time to make this happen. Ridiculous that their policy doesn't allow for refunds.

After buying a pair of shoes from ShoeMint, I was so happy with my purchase that I went back to the website to see what other items they had and noticed some kind of credit I had with my ShoeMint account. I was very confused and didn't deal with it straight-away thinking it was an accident on their part which I had planned on contacting them about. This was all during the busy, holiday season and I was working and traveling and I let one credit card bill go without checking all the charges. That happened to be the one that would have shown that ShoeMint had charged me $79.98. After the holidays were over, I went back to check this supposed credit with ShoeMint and I noticed that the amount had doubled. I checked my credit card statement and lo and behold, they had me on some type of monthly membership subscription of $80 a month that displayed on my ShoeMint account as some kind of credit with them. Almost like they were freely giving it to me. That's a little more than sneaky. I complained to the company directly and within a couple weeks they reimbursed me but only for half the amount. Immediately, they discontinued my account which didn't leave me much of an option to contact them about the other half. Whether or not it was in the very fine and tiny print of something I supposedly signed, I would never, in my right mind, sign myself up for an $80 a month membership for any goods and services. The company had me at the first pair of shoes in which I would have been a repeat customer. Out of proper business ethics, it would be in their best interest to reimburse the full amount to not only me but others who have complained. I happen to be a person who won't let bad business practice go unnoticed and I will do what I need to do to get this issue resolved. Hopefully the company is willing to work it out in a proper manner.

Just curious, did anyone dispute the charges with ShoeMint? I complained and they only reimbursed one of the charges. I still have an $80 charge that I can't seem to get reimbursed because once they reimbursed the first $80, they immediately canceled my account with them and I have no idea how to get a hold of them. And they told my credit card company that it was a legitimate charge. At the very least, I want a pair of shoes.

I purchase a pair of shoes for 50% off, like most of the claims on this website, in September. Shoemint has been charging me a monthly "subscription" of $79.98 ever since, and I just figured this out now after three charges to my account. I have never received a statement from Shoemint for these charges. It also doesn't make it clear on their website that this is a subscription service, and the "rewards" show credits, not necessarily charges to your account.

I had a similar situation with Matt's situation. I saw a deal on Shoemint.com for 50% off. I purchased a pair for my friend for $39.98. I was then charged a monthly fee the next month of $79.98. I thought that was my fault since I did not read all the fine print on their site. I then ordered another pair from Shoemint.com for myself using that credit that they already charged me with. I also closed my account with them immediately. When the 2nd pair came, they did not fit me right and the quality was not as good as I had thought. So I processed a return which took a long time. They finally refunded me recently but only with $30.03. I was expecting about $70.03 back since they charge a restocking fee of $9.95. When I wrote to customer service and complained, they claimed that “the refund was issued for a return, which [I] paid $39.98 for”. What a scam! How on earth did I return one pair of shoes that I was charged $79.98 for and get a refund of another pair of shoes?! Please beware of this before you start ordering from Shoeming.com.
