On March 6th I booked a hotel reservation with Hotels.com for the end of March and paid $397.70 which was debited from my credit card on March 7th. Today, March 9th, I noticed another pending charge for $397.70 from Travel Reservation USA. I contacted Hotels.com and of course they could not only tell me nothing, but informed me that the billing dept would contact me within 3 hours and they never did. It seems apparent to me that Travel Reservations USA is hacking into these online booking sites. Obviously I will contact my credit card to have the fraudulent charge removed, but beware of using these online sites.

Found several of "Travel Reservation USA" across my debit and credit cards while in "Pending" Status on my online statements. After a bit of research I found out that these are indeed from the websites Expedia operates (Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotwire....) - typically these charges actually change to Expedia, Travelocity etc. when the charges move from "Pending" to "Posted/Permanent".

I seen on my checking statement that I had been debited $1,791.00 from a named Merchant Purchase Terminal for something I never authorized. I contacted my bank and they had told me it was for a "Travel Reservation USA" with a phone number of 1-800-367-3476. I am furious since I did not realize this had happened until now. I plan on pursuing this to get it refunded. This is so scary since I have no idea why this happened or how they got my information for a unauthorized debit in the first place.

I tried to reserve a room and for that I gave my credit card number on 15th Oct 2015, but the same could not be completed & I dropped the idea of booking through them. Now I have been told by my bank that an attempt foe $1394 was made on 16th Oct 2015 on my credit card. It is unethical that without my consent how can they keep on attempting my credit card for a service I am no more interested in availing.

Just got nailed. There were two $237 charges with Expedia's phone number on it, four to another company and one to a third company. I really don't think it's Expedia...the thief is just using their phone number on the credit card charge. I worked with a good rep at Expedia...the cross refernced my card number and had no matching charges. I'm reaching out to the other companies...it would be nice to track down whoever is making those charges.

I tried to book a hotel in Bangkok on June 15th that I booked many times before on www.trivago.com and then what I thought was hotels.com but maybe it ended up on an Expedia site. There was some confusion as a breakfast included site was only $1 more, but everytime I went to the linked site it would not give me anywhere close to that price. Needless to say I did not receive a confirmation email which concerned me greatly, however, my credit card defintely was charged for five nights to a TRAVEL USA company. The charge is still pending and I intend to fully dispute the charge and have representatives of this company supposedly out of Nevada arrested and put in jail. Not knowing if I would have a room in Bangkok I called the hotel for two days straight. They have agreed to send me an email saying that I do not have a reservation there and I will use this in my case with the Credit Card company. The Avani Atrium Hotel did send the email and I very much appreciated this as I now feel confident that I can rebook the hotel and I believe I will get the credit on my account. I wanted to lock in the good price as I will be traveling there tomorrow. I felt all alone in this scam as I was in Thailand and could not seem to find online help from Trivago and because I had no email record I could not even contact expedia and/or hotels.com. My lesson is to always screen capture the alledged booking and save it in case you have this problem. I hope that you never do. Happy travels to you and I must say that the scam will not stop me from traveling. Trivago has helped me save thousands the past couple of years so I will keep using. They should have an email contact so they can look into these scams. The fraudulent connection is happening somewhere on or between Trivago and the selected hotel provider. Please contact me if you know anything more. Thanks for reading and I hope reporting my problem helps someone out there and also I hope we stop these bad people. I think you should go to jail for this in case the perpetrator is reading this email. I will cooperate with the credit card company to try to find you. I have friends in the FBI too so there!

I had the exact same number and reference USA TRAVEL RESERVATION.. I've booked through expedia in the past aswell - but months ago. $240 was taken from my account.. going to the bank now and changing all details. Everyone shopping/paying for things online should set up a separate card for all online transactions!

Very disappointed in Expedia. How can this still be going on after so many complaints/investigations?! Charged $112.98 from Travel Reservations USA (also shows up as EXPEDIA*110693797670EXPEDIA.COM WA) but really is out of NV. I didn't think anything of it since I was booking multiple hotel stays at once. Now that all charges have gone through, I have this extra charge.

This one is wierd. THey took US 135. 36 from my car for a TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICY. Then next day took US 2798.92 for TRAVEL RESERVATION with that phone number which was immediately refunded! Unfortunately this was translated into home currency, which means I am out of pocket several hundred dollars on exchange rate. So am disputing transactions which I am sure will be fine. These are definitely fraudulent but the only travel site I have been on recently and given this card number to is AirBnB......

I woke up this morning to numerous chase alerts on my phone. Travel Reservation USA 800 367 3476 NV charged $409.20 on my card! I wish I actually had travel reservations somewhere, but being that I haven't made any, I'm reporting this immediately to Chase!

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA!!! I booked a hotel reservation through Expedia and the next day my bank notified me that $853.18 had attempted to be charged to my debit card for Travel Reservation USA. Thankfully I have a daily limit on my card (just for things like this) so it did not go through. I immediately cancelled my card so they could not attempt to withdraw anything else. I don't know who these people are, but isn't this illegal? Why isn't anything being done to stop them?

I had the same problem as most of the above. I tried booking a hotel through hotels.com on April 2. The reservation didn't go through, but two charges for the amount showed up on my credit card, both from Travel Reservation USA. I tried calling hotels.com but was told to contact Travel Reservation USA since the charge was theirs. I couldn't dispute the charges yet since they were still pending. Now two more charges dated April 5 have appeared on my card, both for $0.00 (my card is maxed out). The bank gave me the phone number associated with the charge and it took me to Expedia. The wait is over an hour and I am now on the call back list.

I just booked a room at The Doubletree downtown Charleston, SC or so I thought. I was on Bing and typed in just that "The Doubletree downtown Charleston, SC" the first thing that popped up was the link that got. It all looked normal. I went through all the normal steps and asked that they email the confirmation as they always do. We'll the email never came through. I called and called with answer. So I started looking up the phone number and here I am. Needless to say I had to call the bank and cancel my card. (855)901-0002 or 800-367-3476. Turns out the charge was made from Travel Reservation USA located in Nevada.

Got a fraudulent alert from Chase, that there was a charge by Travel Reservation, USA, NV for over $400. Chase turned down the charge. Soooo, seeing that others are reporting that TR is doing this? Has anyone reported them? Or is it TR? Could it be someone that has gotten ahold of our info and is trying to book something? If TR is doing this, how did they get ahold of our info?

I googled information on hotels and ended up in trip advisor.com and found a hotel and chose Expedia to pay for the hotel room. As I was paying I was directed to a page error so I hit cancel and tried again two more times to find out there wasn't an error at all. I figured none of the transactions went through and booked the hotel through the hotel which is what I should have done in the first place instead of trusting a site like this. Today I received 3 transactions on my credit card with the same amount so I called the hotel to cancel them in which they were unable to help me with. They said I needed to call Expedia which is a joke. Expedia can't locate any of my reservations numbers nor do they have any information attached to my email or my cell which I provided when I reserved the rooms. Luckily I reserved with a credit card and not a debit card. The charges were made from "travel reservation USA" which of course doesn't have a phone number listed on my statement. Never will I use trip advisor or Expedia again.

This number showed up on my credit card when Expedia AARP finally credited my account for an unauthorized charge from months ago. I can't tell you how much trouble it was to get this credit, and like everyone on here, if you call Expedia customer service you reach a center in the Philippines which is useless and keeps you on the phone for an hour every time you call before telling you they are unable to issue you a credit. So frustrated and angry about this and will never buy through Expedia again. How do they get away with this? I don't know who to complain to. Expedia complaints submitted via email come back with a message to call that same horrible customer service center. There is no oversight whatsoever.

I just had two charges show up as authorized holds thru my bank account - both charges for 125.89 - My bank told me I have to call the 800 number to have them release the holds because they are not authorized to do it since it was done thru my debit account. Tried to call - the 800 number used is Expedia but after being on hold forever - talking to 2 unhelpful people and dumped into 1 voice mail - they still are not able to help me and my bank said they cant remove the authorization - all I can do is dispute the charges if they go thru my account. The bank did cancel my debit card but can not guarantee if the charges will go thru or not.

My bank alerted me to fraudulent activity. I decided to call the number on the back of my card instead of giving information via automated system. Two transactions made tonight: $471.71 & $595.71 One under: "Travel Reservation USA 800-367-3476 NV US" The other under: "Purch Travel Reservation USA" Defiantly a SCAM!

I'm right there with you, Guilles. You need to call your bank/credit card company and dispute the charges. I hope you don't fall in to the same shit I'm dealing with - up to a 90 day period of fighting to get my money back! Additionally, the charges are from Expedia.com and Hotels.com the number you call is 1-800-367-3476 (Expedia) however their Customer Service is terrible and you may not get anywhere with them!

neither my wife or i have traveled using expedia at all, expedia charged us a 7.00 reservation fee, and that was soon to be followed by a nearly 2000 plane ticket and they had no information on the charge at all. i just wanted info on the ticket and reservation, where they originated and no info. it took me 2 hours to get that, they kept telling us we didn't have the proper info to give them to look into the reservation. they eventually said, we don't have any info on the card.

Talked to Expedia and they said this is a normal charge. That for every reservation booked through them the put a $1.00 "hold" on your account, and that it should "fall off" after 72 hours or 3 business days. We'll see.
