Not to be trusted - I agree. I have been charged 1,034€ for a hotel that cost 660€ which I could accept if I could get a company invoice of the difference. For my mail asking for invoice this is what they replied (note: "we do not offer invoices"): Dear Kmetty Orsolya Wave Film KFt., Thank you for contacting Customer Care. We do not offer invoices, however, you are able to access a receipt for your booking on our website. Click on "View Reservation" from your confirmation email to view the online confirmation receipt. The online confirmation receipt will provide a breakdown of the nightly rates charged, the Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees, the total for your booking, and the billing information for your transaction.Thank you for allowing us to service your inquiry, and we sincerely appreciate your business.

I used this site to book a hotel in Australia for a colleague - when I googled the hotel name, it was the first result that came up, and it looked official which is why I used it. A couple days after I booked it, I needed to change the dates slightly. I had booked it on what they called a flexible booking, which they said allowed changes to be made, but when I went on to the manage my reservation link, it didn't let me change anything at all. That's when a lot of alarms were going off, and I looked into it a bit more - there were hundereds of pounds of hidden fee's that weren't made clear when I paid and there was literally no way to get the money back if I wanted to cancel. Luckily, it did actually make the booking at the hotel, and after I'd contacted the hotel directly, they were able to make the changes for me, which was VERY helpful, so kudos to them. DO NOT use this site!!

Not to be trusted! I booked a room for two nights on www.guestreservations.com, which appears to be a scam site. You can use your search engine to find "guestreservations.com scam" and you will find multiple warnings. They have sponsored searches to come out on top, so when I looked for the CityHub official site, I was referred to www.cityhub.com/guestreservations, making it seem like I was on the official site. So, if you look for a hotel site, make sure it doesn't end with guestreservations. I found a temporary action, offering a room for 57 euros per night. I took two nights and then I saw 110, so I thought I had another discount for 2 nights because I still had about 10 minutes before the end of the action. I booked with VISA and got a confirmation mail from [email protected], saying I was billed 400,33 euros (a subtotal of 259,86 and tax recovery charges & service fees for 140,47 euros). I tried to call the number for the help desk but couldn't get further than a choice menu with an electrical voice. If you look on the site and book for the normal price, the tax recovery charges & service fees are mentioned in small at the bottom of the page, but they change every day. At this moment, there's also written that the payment is non-refundable. When I immediately tried to cancel through the mail, it said that there is a cancellation fee of 283,25 euros... Today, it still does. Now that I read the terms & conditions, there is mentioned that the hotel may charge a cancellation fee. In there, there is also an emailadres I can write to "to resolve any claims as a prerequisite to commencing arbitration as outlined below". Below, I read that I might need to pay the initial fee of $250 if I commence the arbitration, unless I qualify for a waiver or show that costs are prohibitive... Seeing as I find proof everywhere that the site is a scam, I will not take those chances.
