I did have this 3rd party insurance on Verizon phones. I did submit a claim a while back and it was processed quickly and satisfactorily. I just got new phones and called the 844 number to cancel the old coverage. While I did have to stay on hold for several minutes my call was answered by a very helpful agent. She confirmed my information, cancelled the coverage and submitted a partial refund for the current billing period. I manage a large Customer Care center and I don't tolerate scams or poor service but in this case I have to say my experience with Tech Protect was positive.

I actually did sign up for this insurance. Once the phones were either lost or eligible for upgrade, called the 844 number on my credit card and got the "music" mentioned below. Called 855-309-8345 (option 8), spoke to a representative and within a couple of minutes (after verifying that I was who I said I was) they cancelled the insurance on both of my lines.

I agree, I just called and they cancelled it no questions asked. They just took 11 dollars out yesterday and the guy said it will be back in tomorrow so hopefully that is the case and I have no problems.

I have been trying for months to deal with this company. all they do is promise to reimburse and cancel insurance I never signed up for. I finally called my bank and I guess they are fully aware of the fraud. They are reimbursing me for $356.84. My cards were all cancelled. I guess the bank doesn't want any part of it. something about a lawsuit involving these people and sprint. whatever!!!!! all I know is that I am getting reimbursed.

For Christmas 2014, my wife bought a H.P. Lap Top Computer for me as a gift. She bought it from Best Buy. Shortly after Christmas, ESH*TECHPROTECT has taken $7.46 out of my checking account. I called Best Buy, and they said it was computer protection that my wife bought. Now I'm being told its a scam...

To Cancel, Call 855-309-8345. It took me just 2 minutes and a little non-intrusive info to get this insurance cancelled on 2 separate phones. They plan to refund the remainder of the month's charge to my CC.

I too called the number 1 855 309 8345, pressed 8, and all I got was music for about 4 minutes. Lovely music, but eventually a voice came on and after giving her my information, she said she would cancel my insurance. I told her that the company needs to tell people they would be on hold for the next representative rather than just have music come on. Angelica said she would make a note of it.

I have received an unauthorized charge by this company, I'm not sure how long they have been charging my account, this is the first time I've noticed it and they almost overdrew my account. I have no phone or any piece of technology that needs or has insurance of any kind. This needs to be stopped and refunded immediately.

This company is a complete fraud. I purchased through Verizon local agency and they have gone out of business. ESH TECH will not answer phone, only have recording of music. You will NOT be able to cancel your credit card monthly charges unless you cancel the C/C. Stay away from these criminals. Very bad company. No service, no anything. They just take your money.........

i've been charged $23.30 monthly for God-knows-how-long.........for my cellular phone which when it deteriorated, i was offered, NOT a replacement, but a refurbished used phone................seriously? 1st of all, ESH TechProtect Prem advertises "from $4.99/month" for their protection, why am i being charged $23.30/month? so........i cancelled their service, put the credit card (associated w/the debit) on notice and Verizon Wireless on notice. I work for lawyers, they are only to "happy" to help me wipe up this mess...................tired of being scammed and raped by insurance.

A good phone number, as stated before in this thread, is 855-309-8345 option 8. My contact person was Christian Holmes ([email protected]). I requested a refund for x number of months and was told he could only credit 1 month. I was sent a Customer Refund ~ Charge Dispute Form dot pdf via email which I completed and returned via email - no muss, no fuss.

I followed Joe's instructions above with great success the first time. Phoned 855-309-8345, except I hit the option for "Sales" instead of "Refunds." Got an operator right away who cancelled the charge. It hasn't shown up on my credit card since.

It took me a while to get to the bottom of this charge. I called the number on my credit card statement a number of times usually getting only voicemail. Finally I reached someone. It turns out this was insurance on a Motorola cellphone that I bought through Verizon. I replaced the Motorola cell phone about a year ago. The best that Esh would do is to pro-rate the current months charge. I was paying $6.99 per month for insurance on a phone I was no longer using. I am sure this charge would have continued for years. I no longer had any copy of the insurance and my credit card company said that I could only dispute the charges month by month and they could do nothing to cancel a recurring charge. If I hadn't been able to finally reach Esh, it seems that I would have had to cancell the entire credit card to stop the charges.

Added on to our credit card with the purchase of a new phone from celluarservces a reseller for Verizon. Was not aware of this insurance service and thus did not authorize. Sleazey salesperson added it on with out our knowledge and hid it in the small print of the contract. Will never use this company again. Called 9/15/15 and they claimed to be cancelling it. Will see if they actually do. Next call will be to our credit card company to dispute the charge.

This company's business model is get your bank account # and continue charging you, no matter how many times you call to cancel your cell phone insurance. We have a family plan with three smart phones through Verizon. Each phone had this 3rd party insurance. Each time we upgraded a phone we switched to Verizon's insurance. Each time we called and cancelled this insurance. Each time they continued to charge us for insurance on cell phones we no longer had. When we called back to ask why we were still being charged, we were told there was no record of our previous calls. This happened THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. This is an unethical business practice meant to defraud customers who are leaving their company. If you are having problems, record your calls to them and report the charges as fraudulent to your bank.

I would like to report my experience with ESH Tech Protect. I had a Samsung Galaxy (which worked well) butwhich, , unfortunately, I dropped and broke. When I went to the local Verizon office I discovered that the only"equivalent" phone they would provide was an LG - after I paid a deductible of $129.00. (after I had been paying $19.28 monthly for several years). The LG is almost worthless: its battery rarely makes it beyond 12 noon, even with minimal use; it can't get online without a strong wifi signal; its geolocation usually fails; its touchscreen is intermittently unresponsive; and it takes 10 - 15 minutes of agonized waiting for a text message to actually be sent. I'm getting a new iPhone 6s as soon as one becomes available - and of course canceled ESH Tech Protect, after giving them an earful. The word "ripoff" seems appropriate. I would advise anyone to avoid this company (it isn't Verizon, but Verizon peddles its policies). As for the LG, its fate is sealed.

After reading most all comments I find that maybe you should read all your contracts. This is a separate company and your sales person sold insurance at a Verizon location as a Verizon representative. If you don't have your contract, go back to them and get it, cause I suspect they have a copy. Verizon informed me that this sometimes happens at their Satellite stores. I hope I have been helpful. P.S. I found my contract.

I am a fan of insurance, but when I pay a $167 deductible and get a worse phone than I started out with I am not a fan. I called ESH Tech Protect the customer service was horrible and basically said we did our part so suck it up. They were rude and probably need to get sued. I have since made sure my "service" was canceled and would not recommend this company to anyone.

I called to cancel service that I did not authorize. 2 days later it is still not cancelled. I asked the customer Service rep to fax, mail or email me a copy of the authorization with my signature on it that I signed up for this service and they don't have one. Yet, I can't get a refund. I can't get a contact name or phone number. They suggested I contact Verizon to make a complaint, yet Verizon said they are a third party and have nothing to do with them. Tech Protect then suggested I make a complaint with my Bank. YET, I CAN'T MAKE A COMPLAINT WITH THEM. I told them I will call them every day until someone does something on this account. I ASK ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE ISSUES TOO, TO CALL EVERY SINGLE DAY TO MAKE A COMPLAINT AND BOG DOWN THEIR PHONE LINES

ESH*TECHPROTECT deductions from my checking account are being made without my authorization. It says on the voicemail related to the number posted on my checking that it is related to my verizon wireless phone but I am billed through verizon for my insurance which is provided through asurion. The phone number provided for customer service keeps play music until someone answers and then they hang up. Who are these people???

I had ESH*Techprotect prem as insurance on my son's cell phone. I cancelled my son's cell in Feb./March of this year but have continued to be charged monthly since then. I will be reporting this to my credit card again. When a phone is cancelled, you think the insurance would be too.

You can call 855-309-8345 select # 8 to cancel insurance. I purchased a new phone on June 23rd. The invoice showed the $53.00, which I signed for. Later that afternoon while checking my bank account Tech Protect Prem hit my account for $2.12, went to the bank and would have to stop all payments on my debit card and order new one. Okay. $2.12 is not bad, but just checked today (10 days later) and they just hit my account again for $7.06...I talked to a agent there that credited my account for the rest of the month minus the first 2 days of the month, so a total of $6.36 refund. This insurance has to do with the agent that sold you your phone at the store!

I specifically declined insurance on this device and have it indicated on my Verizon customer agreement. This ESH charge appeared on my credit card the next month. I finally figured this all out and am having the charges blocked. Verizon screws people by not showing all the agreements on their "My Verizon" page. What a scam. It's hard not to blame Verizon as well for this. As soon as I can afford to buy out, I will.

TAWBUSH- I just spoke with ESH Tech Protect. Their # is 855 309 8345. I was on hold for quite some time and have been told that my "coverage," was cancelled and received an immediate partial refund. They try to make you think it is Verizon, but if you press, they say no. Also, they will tell you that you cannot get any insurance on your phone until your next contract. I have insurance through Verizon, but it is not connected to these criminals.
