I work at the Richfield retail store. Like someone else said, there are a total of 3 Best Buy locations in Richfield, Minnesota. There is a normal retail store, a mobile store, and the corporate headquarters. In order to process a debit or credit transaction in-store, we need the card. Our registers require a card to be swiped, not just the account number typed in. We are not allowed to type in the numbers without seeing them on the credit card. Unless you lost your card, it is highly unlikely that it was swiped through this or the mobile store. Even if you order an item through bestbuy.com to be picked up in Richfield, the store number shows up on the transaction, but not the city. Therefore, any transaction that says Richfield on it is coming from our corporate HQ. These charges are often Geek Squad Protection Plans or anti-virus software renewals. These charges come out of the HQ because they are not being purchased from any store in the country, but are simply automatically renewing. Keep in mind that some Protection plans are 5 years of coverage. Emails can change, products can be lost or stolen; you may have a GS protection plan even if you don't remember. The best course of action: call 1-800 Best-Buy (1-800 237-8289); a representative should be able to help you there.

I did not buy anything from best buy someone had access to my card and spent over $300 on it and I don't know how cause I always keep my card on me

I received a charge to my debit card yesterday for $ 380. I live in MI and I do not use Best Buy stores. Why are so many fraudulent charges coming from this store? How is the store allowing this to happen ? Has this been reported to the police ?

I received a call from my bank on1/10/2018 stating that some on had used my credit card made purchase's at best Buy out of Richfield MN I'm not any where near that state on my credit card charges of $90.00 ,$180.00,$180.00 and another $180.00 what the heck is going on with this , do they not check for security codes or verify any information this is bunch of crap

this is not my purchase . I have 900.00 charged on my credit card . I asked my bank Pursue fraudulent charges . Called best buy and got nowhere to explain or closed my account and purge all personal infomation

I had three identical transactions from this store charged to my credit card all for $791.24. I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast, many miles from Richfield MN. My credit card company alerted me to these transactions this morning and my account has been closed. I have read through the postings about this particular store. Does anyone see a trend here?

RE: Best Buy Store 0994 Fraudulent transaction. I received notification from Capitol 1 that there was a suspicious transaction on my account. Best Buy store 0994 had accepted and charged a transaction for $2193.99 to my account. I do not deal with Best Buy online. I did not make the purchase. This occurred on 06-16-17. I immediately contacted Cap1 and registered a fraudulent charge claim. I have been unable to contact Best Buy to get a refund for the transaction.

Best Buy Store 0994 (online) FRAUDULENTLY charged my bank account for $1079.99 and refused to cancel my charge when I called customer support. Found out this weekend that the item was still shipped and the charge went through. I had to contact my bank to have the money refunded. When I called Best Buy again, they refused to disclose the location where it was delivered, despite it being MY card and MY information. Looks like Best Buy is making money off of and protecting criminals.

Received unauthorized charge today for May. 02, 2017 Pending* BEST BUY 0994 RICHFIELD US Expand Details $ 447.91 Called credit card company immediately and canceled the card. Evidently someone knows they can take bogus cards to these stores and they accept them, no questions asked.

My card was charged $329.99 from this store about 4 days ago. Called the back and Best Buy. Best Buy said someone placed an order online using my card info, and phone number. Charge was reversed (order was apparently cancelled right after it was placed), but this is scary that someone has my information out there.

My charge was $873.99 yesterday on 4/2/17at Best Buy 0994. My credit card company Citibank sent me a text message immediately asking if I had made a purchase there. When I said NO they immediately took the charge off, cancelled my card number, and are sending me a new card.

I had a $500+ charge on my Amazon card linked to the BB 0994 store in MIN. I'm in Ohio. Haven't read all the comments but it's curious how so many fraud charges are linked to BB and this specific location. Just got off the phone with BB. They said someone called the order in using my home address as a ship to, then tried to contact U.P.S. with another address. The rep said they would contact U.P.S to intercept before it's rerouted. They'll email me with the results.

As of 7/31/16 I've had a fraudulent transaction of $64.91 by Best Buy store #0994 Richfield MN! Have not purchased a ything online or in the store from this particular bank card. Furthermore, I've had this card in my possession the whole time!

Best But has now helped itself to two payments of $52.64 from me instead of returning an original $52.64 it siphoned off me. Dealing on the phone with customer service in Richfield, MN, is just about pointless. They are not interested in having happy customers or in resolving issues. They are interested in keeping money coming in. Today I will pursue other avenues with my bank, and file complaints with the proper agenies on Virginia and Minnesota. I will never do business with Best Buy again, and I advise you to do likewise.

Checked my debit card Oct 5 to see TWO unauthorized charges for $219.34 to Richfield, MN 099 - I live in NC, and did not purchase online or in store. My bank is investigating this incident and my local cops.

I got 9.99 charged and it is for my phone protection plan. I bought my cell phone trhough best buy and got protection plan so it is billed monthly.

credit card charged $410.39 at the Redfield MN location, I live is SC, don't shop at best buy or have I purchased anything on line. Somebody needs to look into this. Some kind of scam going on.

The Best Buy Corporate headquarters are located in Richfield as well as a retail store. We cannot process a credit card transaction without having the physical card; we can't type in the numbers only. The transactions coming out of our corporate location would be: online transactions, Geek Squad protection plans, or Anti-virus plan renewals. If you lost your credit card and/or you haven't purchased any of those services, the charge may be fraudelent. In that case, call (888) 237-8289. That is the Best Buy Customer Relations department; they should be able to sort any issues out there.

I recently got this charged on my credit card as well. I bought a memory card online, through best buy, for black friday. The amount matches the amount on the receipt I received via email. If you got this charge, you probably bought something through best buy online as well.
